Sixes and Sevens

"Sixes and Sevens" by O. Henry is the eleventh published short story collection by William Sydney Porter written under his pen name. It features such classics as «The Duplicity of the Hargraves,» about a destitute Confederate major and his spinster daughter in Washington, DC, and their encounter with a vaudeville actor; as well as «Makes the Whole World Kin,» about a thief. His works have struck the hearts of readers for years, which is why they continue to be read and taught today.
