Rain…

I never thought about the events that changed my life. But today, I was caught in the rain outside, and I suddenly remembered those events.

It was raining then, too, and I was standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus. Rain, rain, rain, and no one was out in the city. But looking down the road, I saw a girl in a red dress, very wet. Even though it was a summer rain, I thought she was shivering. She was walking quickly, looking for shelter from the rain. I called to her. She turned and smiled.

“Come here,” I said.
