1. Can every rabbit be tamed?

Basically, every rabbit can become tame and be trained. However, there are a few points that have to be taken into account. For example, appropriate keeping can be guaranteed and the training does not harm the rabbit.

Rabbits are very clever creatures and often they are not trusted at all to perform certain tricks or accomplish certain tasks by themselves. Training a rabbit is a great way to get the animal used to being close to humans and to encourage or even correct certain behaviour.

Whether a rabbit can become tame depends of course on the respective circumstances. Depending on whether the animal comes from the shelter or from the breeder, it has already had different experiences. The more positive the experiences with humans have been or are, the better the conditions for a tame pet that is easy to train. Also the age at which the rabbit gets used to humans plays a big role for later success. But even an old rabbit that has little experience with people can become a trustworthy pet.

If you have a lot of patience and like to spend time with your rabbits, you can teach them a lot with training and love and will certainly have a lot of fun with your pet.

In order to tame a rabbit and practice further brainwork and tricks with him, the right posture is a must. This includes that a rabbit should never be kept alone. In addition, the cage and/or run must have a minimum size of 6 square meters for 1 to 3 rabbits and 10 cm for 3 to 5 rabbits. The more space and different conditions in the enclosure, the better the rabbits can keep themselves busy and stay healthy and lively.

The wrong diet can also lead to mood changes and changes in behaviour and health. For a well-balanced rabbit, the right diet is therefore extremely important and should always be considered during training sessions etc. Of course, the rabbit's state of health is another point to consider before training. Sick animals should not be stressed too much and behind aggressive behaviour, for example, can be a disease or wrong living conditions.
