What happens when a dashing man with a peculiar name moves into a quiet four-family home? Chaos, suspicion, and a whole lot of drama.

The residents are quickly stirred up. Retired civil servant Mr. Kodslowski is convinced Mell's a criminal – those flashy cars scream trouble. But Uschi Bratbäcker, a neurotic romantic, is charmed by the mysterious name: van der Flucht. To her, it reeks of nobility.

Psychologist Susa Seelinger isn't buying any of it. She's sure Mell's just another womanizer with eyes only for her. Then the stairwell feud explodes. Mell loses his memory after a chaotic night and finds himself hunted by an enraged ex-lover – and her furious husband.
