"Sketches of Travel in Normandy and Maine" is the travel memoir of travel writer, Oxford University professor and architect Edward A. Freeman. Freeman travelled through the Normandy part of France, examining the rich history of the region through its culture, architecture and people. He gives attention to historical sites of the period of the Norman Conquest such as Falais Castle, the birthplace of the first Norman King of England, William the Conqueror.
