He seeks the help of De la Monte, an author. George Manfred, enjoys some reputation as a quasi-scientific literateur, and under the name of «De la Monte» had published a book on «Modern Crime.» Why is Dr. Essley searching for the Four Just Men? Will De la Monte help him in his quest?
