"The Cockaynes in Paris; Or, 'Gone abroad'" is a satirical novel set in Paris, covering the theme of English people visiting the French capital. Mrs. Rowe was the owner of the highly respectable boarding-house in the Rue Millevoye. She always hoped to make a good impression on the clients to her establishment, especially the foreigners.
