Dear Reader,

you are a religious man and would like to deepen your faith, but do not know how to do that?

The deepening of faith is always a Coming-closer-to-God. This is done from two sides: on the one hand by the believer himself, who deals in detail with God, on the other hand starting of God, because He more and more reveals to man.

This can develop – in the course of life - a deep bond, which is not only a help for man in his everyday life, but also in his hour of death: it carries him over into the eternal home.

Therefore, faith is a lifelong "project". You can turn away from the faith itself freely, you can believe half-hearted or you believe seriously and honestly; then it is a permanent bond, similar to a marriage.

This partnership with God persists from the beginning of man's existence: every man is a thought of God. So God has already established facts, even before we were mentally able to recognize Him as our Lord and Creator, and even before we were able to turn to Him.

It is a covenant that is associated with a credit of trust. God has already everything prepared. - "He saw that it was good." Now it is up to the individual to accept this caring offer deliberately and grateful.

The five castles

Do you know where God lives? - "Of course," you will say, "He lives in heaven!" - Yes, you're right.

The first "castle" is heaven. The second dwelling of God is in your heart. The third castle consists of a large number of apartments: God dwells in every church where the Blessed Sacrament is present.

The fourth castle is the presence of God in creation, the fifth castle where God lives is in your own home.

How strong God is present in your life, appears in your personal environment: in your own home. Perhaps you believe that it is completely sufficient if you have God in your heart. But man is a creature that depends on visual aids. This applies in particular to the realm of faith.

Furnish therefore in your home a place which only belongs to God. This can be a home altar, a prayer corner, a domestic shrine, the surface of your bedside table or a cross on the wall. - This allows you to realize every day that God is present.

Brother Konrad of Parzham says: "The cross is my book. A look at the cross teaches me at every opportunity, as I have to conduct myself. So I learn patience and humility. So I learn to bear every cross with patience, yes it becomes very sweet and light for me. "

A cross in every room does not hurt. In difficult situations or in dark hours, the presence of Christ on the cross can give comfort. A prayer – addressed to Jesus - has already mitigated many conflicts and solved many problems.

Also a nice statue or picture of Mary gives a room a special atmosphere. The Mother of God, which is in the Eastern Church worshiped as "Ekonomissa" (= the guardian of the house), brings peace and blessing in every household. Where Mary lives, the Lord is also present.
