Island Heat

Island heat: Deep Water Octopus is a satirical story that began its conception due to a paper mache octopus. From that humble beginning, began a series of running jokes, and eventually a story.

A story which follows Trae, a medic in the army. Trae is a perfectionist, and seeking something that is unattainable – perfection. He wants a new unit, a new beginning, and is about to set off on his long-awaited transfer, which comes in the form of a secret location.

A new beginning. Is that too much to ask for? Trae didn't think so, and despite that this move was his last opportunity, as he had been moved several times previously, he eagerly sets off on his next assignment. That is until he meets Octavius, and wherever Octavius goes, chaos is sure to follow.

Island heat: Deep Water Octopus highlights a society at its best, and its worst. Octavius is Trae's nemesis in more ways than one, and uses his manipulative ways to control those around him. Only Trae is able to see through Octavius's ways, or is it more of a case that the others are complacent in the way they enable Octavius's behaviour?

Follow Trae as his once in a lifetime opportunity, turns into his worst nightmare, or is it really the new beginning he was looking for.
