Principles of Public Health delivers standard rules of life by which every adult and every child can do much to preserve their own health. These rules, if followed, can help the people prove themselves a prominent factor in raising the standard of public health. Science in recent years has made tremendous progress in preventing diseases and controlling violent epidemics. Modern hygiene and sanitation methods have eradicated deadly diseases like smallpox, cholera, tuberculosis, and many more. These advanced methods are necessary to be taught to people. With this goal in mind, the author wrote this set of rules to be taught at schools and to be made available to everyone who wasn't aware. Thomas Dyer Tuttle wrote the information in a manner that would be comprehensible to children. He told about the dangers that come with these diseases and how they can be prevented.
