ПРЕДИСЛОВИЕ

Данный глоссарий является юридическим терминологическим словарем, составленным к учебному комплексу по английскому языку для юристов International Legal English (издательство Cambridge University Press). Настоящий глоссарий можно считать как переводным (в основном слова и выражения переведены с английского на русский язык), так и толковым (отдельные термины сопровождаются пояснениями и комментариями). Глоссарий содержит более 2200 терминов и устойчивых словосочетаний, характерных для таких областей права, как договорное право; право, регулирующее деятельность акционерных обществ; вещное право; трудовое право и др.

Задача глоссария – дать возможность лицам, изучающим юридический английский язык с помощью учебника International Legal English, правильно понимать основные правовые понятия, формулировки, термины, а также отдельные общеупотребительные слова и знать их русские эквиваленты. Глоссарий способствует усвоению юридической лексики в сфере коммерческого права, что позволит обеспечить высокое качество перевода аутентичных текстов.

Глоссарий разработан с разбивкой по темам согласно 15 разделам учебника International Legal English. Слова расположены в алфавитном порядке с указанием номеров страниц учебника, на которых они употребляются. Статьи глоссария снабжены пометами, отражающими различия в британской и американской терминологии. Во второй части глоссария приводится алфавитный индекс по всей тематике учебника.

Глоссарий предназначен для студентов юридических вузов и факультетов, а также юристов, работающих в международных организациях. Предлагаемый вашему вниманию глоссарий окажется полезным и для тех специалистов, которые по роду своей деятельности имеют дело с переводом различных документов правового характера с английского на русский язык.
