The Senator's Bride

'The Senator's Bride' is a novel written by Mrs. Alex. McVeigh Miller. The story begins by describing a scene in a lovely garden in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1866. Two gentlemen, Bruce Conway and Captain Clendenon, are idly smoking on a wide piazza, enjoying the view of a sunset over the sea.
