The work of L. V. Guazaa has the form of historical essay. The work is devoted to the history of a particular clan (family) in the context of historical chronology of Abkhazia. It is concerned with description of mental and material aspects of abkhazian culture through the narration of Guazaa family history: the origin of the family name, history of generations and individual representatives.
