The Last Harvest

This is the last book written by Burroughs (1837 – 1921) and was published posthumously. It is a collection of essays of literary criticism, especially concerning Emerson, whom he greatly admired, and Thoreau. Most of the works he criticizes were written when the authors themselves were in their 80s.
