Sevenoaks

"Sevenoaks: A Story of Today" is a small town novel about the residents of Sevenoaks and the moral choices facing each one. Robert Belcher is the town's wealthiest man and doesn't mind throwing his weight around. But the town's people are angered by the revelation that the source of his wealth came from his exploitation of the intelligent inventor Paul Benedict, whose inventions seem to have enriched Belcher and yet left Paul, a poor man battling madness in an asylum. All the town residents seem helpless to do something about it, including the bold Miss Keziah Butterworth. That is until she meets with Jim Fenton, a lonely woodsman who is willing to help her do something about it…
