Mrs Peixada

This is a story about a young lawyer named Arthur Ripley who receives his first serious retainer on April 25th. Mr. Mendel, a brewer, introduces Arthur to Mr. Peixada and Mr. Rimo, who want to consult him about a business matter. Mr. Peixada's brother was murdered in 1879, and the case remains unsolved. Mr. Peixada discovers his brother's will, but he also wants Arthur to investigate the murder and find his brother's widow. Arthur is hesitant to take on the case at first but ultimately agrees.
