The Potiphar Papers

'The Potiphar Papers' is a collection of essays penned by George William Curtis. He was an American writer and public speaker born in Providence, Rhode Island. An early Republican, he spoke in favor of African-American equality and civil rights both before and after the Civil War. A total of seven essays can be found inside this volume of work, including these titles: 'From the Summer Diary of Minerva', 'The Potiphats in Paris', and 'Our New Livery, and Other Things'.
