As can be guessed from the title, this book is a collection of poems written by George Crabbe. It contains some of his most popular works, such as 'The Village', which is a narrative poem that contrasts the traditional representation of the rural idyll in Augustan poetry with the realities of village life. Other titles included are 'The Library', 'The Newspaper', and 'The Parish Register'.
