The Clock Struck One

"The Clock Struck One" by Fergus Hume follows Julian Edermont who lives at the Red House with Dora Carew, the girl in his care, and his friend Lambert Joad. However, much to his dismay, something about the house doesn't seem right. Julian is suffering from panic attacks, he can't seem to get along with Dora or her fiancee. When things can't seem to get any worse, when trying to make up, Dora finds her guardian dead in his study, clearly murdered, but by whom?
