Uniwersalizm rewolucyjny

Publikacja stanowi próbę rekonstrukcji i analizy koncepcji struktur ponadpaństwowych we francuskiej myśli polityczno-prawnej w okresie od Oświecenia do czasów współczesnych. Autor stawia tezę, że kluczowe nowożytne koncepcje zastępowania bądź ograniczania suwerenności państwowej na rzecz struktur władztwa ponadpaństwowego i ponadnarodowego wywodzą się przede wszystkim z Oświecenia i rewolucji 1789 roku. Odwołując się do bogatej literatury przedmiotu, dowodzi, że we Francji, tradycyjnie kojarzonej z etatyzmem i afirmacją suwerenności narodowej, funkcjonuje bogactwo nurtów skrajnie odmiennych. Kraj ten bowiem można uznać za swoisty „matecznik” idei uniwersalizmu rewolucyjnego, z którego czerpią bezpośrednio bądź pośrednio liczni radykałowie bez względu na narodowość.

The Revolutionary Universalism. Criticism of the National State in French Political and Legal Thought from the Enlightenment to the European Union

The publication attempts to reconstruct and analyse the concepts of transnational structures in French political and legal thought from the Enlightenment to modern times. The author argues that key modern concepts of substituting or limiting state sovereignty towards transnational power structures originate in the Enlightenment and 1789 French Revolution. Referring to the extensive subject literature, he demonstrates that in France, traditionally associated with statism and the affirmation of national sovereignty, there is a wealth of entirely different trends. France can be considered a kind of “bastion” of revolutionary universalism, from which many radicals, regardless of their nationality, derive directly or indirectly.
