Он ищет по свету свою любовь, зная, что, встретившись с ней, останется неузнанным. Почти как в лермонтовском: "...и смерть пришла, наступило за гробом свиданье, но в мире новом друг друга они не узнали". С разницей, что в их случае узнает один из пары, наделенный способностью помнить и даже умением поведать с достаточной долей достоверности, но не внушить другому любовь. Изысканно, романтично, полно негой дольче фар ньенте, но живой жизни в этом примерно столько, сколько в засушенном кузнечике за стеклом энтомологической коллекции. И станиславское "не верю"в сухом остатке.
Я вспоминаю фрагмент "Вина из одуванчиков" о юноше, влюбившемся по фотографии в лучшую девушку на свете, а поняв. что портрету полвека, все же решившемуся встретиться с ней, и они проговорили несколько часов, думая, что никто никогда не понимал их лучше, расставшись с любовью в сердце. И лучше Бредбери не стоит пытаться, все равно не выйдет.
