Ever since Uranus entered your money house for the long term (in March 2019) this area has become a focal point in your life. It is also a very exciting and interesting area of life. Anything can happen at any time. Money, and financial opportunity, can come suddenly and out of the blue. Earnings can go sky high – beyond your imagination – but they can also dip very low. This is what makes things so interesting and exciting. Finances are a roller coaster these days.

Some experiments work, some don’t. But it is through experimentation that we obtain new knowledge.

Uranus is the planet of science and technology, the planet of new inventions and innovations. So all these areas are interesting on the financial level. Computers, smart phones, online activities, programming are all interesting as investments, businesses and jobs. With Uranus in your money house for years to come, you could be earning from technologies not yet invented. She will make one of her rare retrogrades this year – from May 13 to June 25. This only happens once every two years. So this will be a period for financial review; not a good time for making expensive purchases or important financial decisions.

Venus will spend approximately four months in the sign of Gemini – four times the length of her usual transit. This indicates earnings from sales, marketing, PR, advertising, teaching, writing and trading.

Career is really the main headline for the year, Aries. Career has been challenging over the past two years and you’ve had to work hard. You didn’t catch the lucky breaks and you have had to earn everything through sheer merit. Many of you were dealing with demanding bosses and perhaps unreasonable customers. More was expected of you. But now, with Jupiter in your 10th career house almost all year you will see the payoff. You will start to catch the lucky breaks. Promotions come your way. Your public and professional status is elevated. If you own a business, the status of the business is elevated. But it’s your hard work that is bringing the good luck. There is much career-related travel in the year ahead too.

Love and Social Life

As we mentioned earlier, the year ahead is not an especially romantic kind of year. Some years are like that. Career is much more important than the social life. Your social life will improve at the end of the year, when Jupiter moves into your 11th house of friends, but this is more about friendships and being involved with friends and groups rather than romance.

Your 7th house of love is empty this year. Only short-term planets will move through there, bringing temporary effects. More important is the fact that all the long-term planets are in the East this year. Your Western social sector will never be dominant. Relationships seem less important than usual. It’s all about independence and creating your own conditions for happiness. The tendency for relationships will be to the status quo. Singles will tend to remain single. Those who are married will tend to stay married.

Venus is not only your financial planet but your love planet as well. This shows that for you, Aries, love and money go together. When love is going well finances are going well, and when finances are going well the love life goes well. Problems in one area impact the other too.

Venus is a fast-moving planet and usually she will move through all the signs and houses of your Horoscope in a given year. This year, because she goes retrograde, she will only move through 11 signs and houses. This is still a lot of movement, and thus there are many short-term trends in love that depend on where Venus is and the aspects she receives. As we have mentioned, Venus will spend four months in the sign of Gemini, your 3rd house, which will be significant for singles. There will be social and romantic opportunities to be found in your neighbourhood and perhaps with neighbours. The expression ‘smart is the new sexy’ certainly resonates with you this year. You gravitate to intellectuals; to people with the gift of the gab; to people who are easy to talk to. Talking, good communication, is a form of foreplay. Sexual magnetism is always important in a relationship, but you need more than that – you need mental compatibility. There will be romantic opportunities at school, educational functions, seminars, lectures, literary events, even at bookshops or the library. Pursue your intellectual interests and love will find you. Venus will be in Gemini from April 3 to August 7.

Self-improvement

Career, as we have said, is the single most important area for you this year, more important than love, finance and even health. This is all well and good. There are times in life where this kind of focus is necessary. However, you should not allow this to affect your health. Real career success will happen as you learn to attain it with good health. This will mean working smarter and not harder, learning to delegate tasks and never allowing yourself to get overtired.

We see some interesting things in your spiritual life this year. Neptune in your 12th house for many years can make you mystical and dreamy. You are apt to fall into reveries. But Jupiter in Capricorn, in your 10th house, shows a more practical kind of theology. There is a feeling that God wants you to succeed; that your career is ‘God’s work’. This faith will be helpful to your career. People in your place of worship are also likely to be helpful in your career.

Jupiter in Capricorn favours traditional religion. However, Neptune in Pisces indicates a desire to transcend all religion, to be in a place that is ‘above religion’. So these conflicting urges need to be integrated. Every person does this in their own way. In many cases you will have one foot in the mystical realms and the other foot in traditional religion. In other cases, one supports the other. There is no real conflict; all religions are merely the offshoots of the mystical experiences of their founders.

We mentioned earlier that the Eastern sector of your Horoscope is overwhelmingly dominant this year. In addition Mars, your ruling planet, will be in your own sign for more than six months – from June 28 onwards. While it is natural for you to be independent and self-willed, this year it could be too much of a good thing. The tendency will be to ignore or run roughshod over others, perhaps to demean them. It is true that your way is the best way for you these days, but others still need to be treated with love and respect. You can go your own way without offending others. It will take some spiritual work though.

You begin your year in the midst of a yearly career peak. Your 10th house of career is easily the strongest in the Horoscope, with at least half and sometimes 60 per cent of the planets either there or moving through there. So the career is successful – but very demanding. You are focused on your career as you should be, but this focus can cause some problems at home. A lunar eclipse on the 10th occurs in your 4th house of family and shakes things up. This can bring dramas in the lives of family members, and in the lives of parents and parent figures (both sets), and often a need for repairs in the home. Siblings and sibling figures also seem affected by the eclipse; they are forced to make important financial changes because of some disruption or unexpected event.

This eclipse looks pretty strong, so take it nice and easy during this time. You should rest and relax more all month – especially until the 20th, but particularly during this eclipse period. The problem is that the demands of the career are very great now and it might not be so easy to ‘rest and relax’. Career and home issues must be handled, but focus on the essentials. Don’t sweat the small stuff, as the saying goes.

Health is an issue this month, especially until the 20th. The eclipse impacts Mercury, your health planet, so there are changes to your health regime and perhaps changes in your doctors. Sometimes there are health scares; if so make sure to get a second opinion. Later in the month – even next month – will be a better time to get these second opinions. The body is not a ‘thing’ but a dynamic energy system. It responds to the energy world. Tests taken when energy is not right can often show things that are not really there.

Enhance your health this month through back and knee massage until the 16th, and through calf and ankle massage afterwards. Most importantly, maintain high energy levels.

There can be job changes this month, either within your present company or with another one. There are shakeups in your career as the eclipse affects your career planet Saturn. This often manifests as shakeups in the upper management where you work, in changes of company policy, dramas in the lives of bosses and changes in your industry. Sometimes the government changes regulations that impact on your industry.

The month ahead is a strong social month. Your 11th house of friends is powerful until the 19th, and on the 7th your love planet Venus enters your sign and stays there for the rest of the month. Venus in your sign is a happy transit. She bestows beauty and social grace. You look good. You have a flair for fashion. Love and romantic opportunities pursue you, rather than the other way around. You have love on your terms. Those of you who are married or in a relationship will find that the spouse, partner or current love is unusually devoted and eager to please.

Venus’s move into your sign is also a wonderful financial transit. Money and financial opportunity come to you. You don’t need to run after it. Often this transit indicates financial windfalls, and just as often it shows clothing or accessories coming to you.

On the 16th Mars, the ruler of your Horoscope, enters your 10th house. This shows career success, but you are earning it. You are on top, in charge. People look up to you. People aspire to be like you.

Mars’s move into your career house puts all the planets in the Eastern sector of your chart – even the Moon will move to the East on the 18th. This is highly unusual. You are at the peak of your personal independence (and this lasts into next month too). You’re self-reliant and in charge of your destiny. You’re not much in need of others’ approval. You know what’s best for you and you should follow that path. Others might not agree initially, but they will come round. So make those changes that need to be made. You have a lot of personal power. You can and should have things your way.

Venus, your love and financial planet, will have her solstice from the 8th to the 10th. She pauses in the heavens and then changes direction (in latitude). So, a pause in finance and love will happen, followed by a change of direction.

Spirituality has been strong all year but now – since February 19 – it is even stronger. Your 12th house is very powerful. So this is a good period for spiritual practices, for meditation, the study of sacred literature and reading spiritual-type books. It is also a very creative period. You are inspired from on high, especially on the 8th and 9th. This is a period for supernatural experiences and for enhanced ESP (extra-sensory perception).

All the planets are still in the East this month – only the Moon will move through your Western social sector, from the 4th to 16th. Your own house becomes powerful, too, from the 20th onwards. Continue to make the changes that need to be made and create the conditions for your happiness. Like last month, you can and should have things your way. This is a good time to get the body in the shape that you would like. Fun and leisure opportunities will come to you and you’ll probably take them. The month ahead will also be prosperous, with Venus entering the 2nd money house on the 5th. She is powerful in her own sign and house, and thus your earning power is strong. Her transit also brings the help of social contacts, the spouse, partner or current love and opportunities for business partnerships or joint ventures. Venus travels with Uranus from the 6th to the 9th and this can bring unexpected financial and social opportunity.

This is still very much a period of personal independence and personal power. Other people are always important, but make sure you take care of Number 1. The Western social sector of your chart becomes a little bit stronger after the 3rd as Venus moves to the West, but the Eastern sector of self is still overwhelmingly dominant.

Venus goes ‘out of bounds’ from the 3rd to the end of the month. Practically speaking, she spends the month ‘out of bounds’ – this describes both your financial and love life this month. You need to go outside your normal boundaries, socially and financially. There are no answers or opportunities in your normal circles. This can be read another way, too: your financial and social urges pull you out of your normal spheres. The spouse, partner or current love is also outside his or her normal boundaries. The money people in your life are venturing into the unknown as well.

Health is good this month – especially when compared to the past few months. Now you only have two long-term planets stressing you and you have help from the short-term planets. So your health and energy are the best they’ve been so far this year. You can enhance your health further through foot massage until the 11th, scalp and face massage from the 11th to the 27th and neck and throat massage from the 27th onwards. Physical exercise is always good for you, but especially between the 11th and 27th.

Mercury has his solstice from the 14th to the 16th. He pauses in the heavens and reverses direction (in latitude). So, a pause at work and in health matters will happen and then a change of direction. This is a pause that refreshes – a cosmic pause.

Jupiter travels with Pluto all month and this gives many messages. It indicates a good month to pay down debt or to borrow (depending on your need). A good month to approach outside investors for your projects. The spouse, partner or current love will have a banner financial month. You are also having a banner financial month, for on the 19th you begin a yearly financial peak. This is a good month for tax planning or for buying insurance, and if you are of the appropriate age it is good for estate planning too.

Planetary retrograde activity increases this month; after the 16th 40 per cent of the planets are moving backwards. While this isn’t yet the maximum for the year, it is still a high percentage. The pace of life slows down a bit.

The retrograde of Venus is perhaps the most significant for you. She rules both the love and the financial life. This is a rare retrograde – it happens once every two years – that begins on May 16. So any major purchases or investments should be done before the 16th. Afterwards, avoid these things and take stock of your financial life. Give it a good review and see where improvements can be made. The same is true for the spouse, partner or current love. But for him or her this taking stock is in effect all month – and for the next few months. In spite of this, he or she will prosper this month. Earnings might come more slowly but they will come.

The love life will slow down after the 16th too. Relationships or friendships can seem to go backwards. But as with finance, don’t make important love decisions during Venus’s retrograde.

Venus will spend the month in your 3rd house. This shows that love and romantic opportunities can be found close to home, in the neighbourhood and perhaps with neighbours. Financial opportunities happen here too.

The retrograde of Saturn, your career planet, begins on May 11, and it coincides with strength in the lower half of your Horoscope. The upper half, the day side of the chart, is still the strongest, but the lower half is stronger than it has been all year. (Next month the lower half will be at its maximum for the year.) So, you can devote more time to the home and family. Career is still important but it is slowing down. Many issues will need time to resolve.

You are still in a yearly financial peak until the 20th, but because of Venus’s retrograde, wrap up financial dealings before the 16th. This is still a good month to pay down or to make debt – especially before the 16th. Also good, like last month, for tax and estate planning (for those of you of the appropriate age).

Health is even better than last month. Your health planet, Mercury, will be ‘out of bounds’ this month from the 17th onwards. This would indicate that you are looking ‘outside the box’ in health matters.
