The Life of Thomas Wanless, Peasant

This is a touching story about the life of a worker who confronts the hardships of life. He gets thrashed by envious farmers, works in a dangerous and unsanitary train station, and loses two of his sons. Things become more complicated when his daughter gets impregnated by a captain who leaves her, and he is forced to look for his daughter in London.
